Sheffield is Sweet Enough
A campaign run by Sheffield City Council and Partners to help tackle the harms caused by eating too much sugar.
Sheffield’s Sweet Enough was a campaign run by Sheffield City Council and partners to help local families, food businesses, schools and healthcare professionals tackle the harms caused by eating too much sugar. The project has now come to a close but all their resources are available on the ShefFood website to continue to help Sheffield folk learn about the impact of sugar and how to make simple changes to your diet to reduce sugar intake.
Whatever your age, consuming too much sugar is linked to tooth decay and all sorts of health problems, such as obesity. In Sheffield, poor diet and being overweight are contributing to long-term ill health in our city, with a growing number of adults living with diabetes and/or high blood pressure.
We’re on a mission to change that! By helping everyone understand more about the negative effects of sugar and the positive actions you can take to combat them. It’s as simple as swapping out your regular snacks for sugar free or low sugar alternatives, which taste just as great!
