Free Cakes for Kids Sheffield

We are a group of home bakers who believe every child should have a birthday cake. Referrers and professionals come to us to help children. We are part of the Free Cakes for Children UK movement.

Practices

We bake cakes for children aged 1-18 for many different reasons including poverty, homelessness, for looked after children or children who are receiving extra support. It’s not always for a family who can’t afford a cake- it might be because there is a sibling who has additional needs, a family member unwell or absent, or because the family is in temporary accommodation or refuge without access to a kitchen.

We have over 70 volunteers who bake and have so far made 1474 cakes.
