Join us for the Community Food Provision Working Group at our Reconnect Workshop.
The fragility of food supply, lack of funding and the tensions on our estates mean the need for the groups and individuals involved as organisers and participants in the community food sector to connect and work together is greater than ever.
Sheffood’s community food working group is calling out to all who have knowledge, experience ideas or aspirations in this area to come together
Whether you’re part of an active community food group, food bank, Food coop , or just curious, come along, reconnect with fellow community food providers, and lets take action together.
We have planned 3 workshops, 1 for each ShefFood working group, to get alongside you and reconnect. We feel it is important to listen, understand current action/ issues, identify support needed, and for groups to seed future action.
ShefFood is a member-led partnership, so we will ask you about the culture, values and priorities you want to see in the groups in which you participate, and outline the steering group roles we are recruiting so they can be shaped by you.
The purpose of this event is:
•To reconnect with people working in the city on the different aspects of food growing and composting, community food provision, good food economy and engage wider citizens and actors in food system work.
•To update on what ShefFood has been doing and listen to what people see as the role for the partnership going forward.
