Grow to School CIC operates in the education sector providing services and products that create sustainable pathways to increasing access to the outdoors and enhancing educational experiences and outcomes for children.
Practices
The organisation works with schools and their communities across Yorkshire to: deliver food growing programmes that support schools to grow, cook & eat fresh food & engage with the natural environment, deliver engaging and curriculum based outdoor learning programmes, deliver training programmes for teachers around food growing and outdoor learning and provide lesson plans and resources to enable schools to take their classes outside. Our programmes aim to address social and environmental issues such as children’s disengagement with their learning, healthy eating, childhood obesity, and a lack of understanding of where food comes and their place in the natural world.
